To resize and save an image using the new Photo Editor 4, it is necessary to resize the background work area to match the new image size. This will ensure that a border is not applied to the image.

To resize the image and work area, proceed as follows:

1. Choose File | Open
2. Select an image file that you want to resize.
3. Choose File | Define Work Area
4. Select Resize Objects radio button and Lock Proportions checkbox
5. Change Width or Height value. Change the default unit to pixel if you wan to resize the image based on the pixels.
6. Click OK
7. Choose Save As

In Photo Editor 2008, you can also use the 'Save to Web ' feature to resize an image.
